Man may not have walked on the moon in almost half a century, but increasingly our collective gaze is turned towards space. If that boundless fascination with space had a soundtrack, it would certainly be Flavien Berger's dreamy sounds, and in particular Océan Rouge, a song which he released last June and which was masterfully put into images by fellow collectif_sin member Robin Lachenal.
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, NEST Collective is a group of artists who aim to "explore [their] troubled modern identities, re-imagine [[their pasts and inhabit mythical African futures." In the surreal fashion film 'To Catch a Dream,' Jim Chuchu tells the story of Ajuma (embodied by iconic Kenyan model Ajuma Nasenyana), a widow whose sleep keeps being disturbed by a recurring nightmare.
In the latest installation of its Concept Store, Selfridges proposes the Fragrance Lab - a new way of discovering and buying perfume. This is the "Experience Economy" come to life. The "Lab" pushes tailoring and personal shopping to their extreme: in an ethereal setting cut our from outside distractions, guests are invited to individually learn about and ponder the significance of scents.
